A review of the most important performances of the CHOREA theatre, and the latest achievements of visiting theatre groups will be presented between 13 and 21 August, as a part of the Factory Scene project. The performances and plays will be shown at the CHOREA theatre, Factory of Art, WYTWÓRNIA club and Akademicki Ośrodek Inicjatyw Artystycznych.

Although the new single of the trio from Łódź and Wrocław was first presented in May in Agnieszka Szydłowska’s Program Alternatywny (Trójka Radio), it is only now that the band is launching a cd. It is possible thanks to their cooperation with the Łódź – European Capital of Culture 2016 project.

A QR Code walk around the historic factories of Łódź

MobileMS in cooperation with the City Hall has prepared the second tourist trail to be followed using QR Codes. This is another stage of the ‘Decode Łódź’ project. The city also invites people to take part in guided walks around Łódź, every Sunday until the end of August.

The historic estate in Księży Młyn can soon become a vibrant artistic haven. Thanks to the steps taken by the city authorities, there is an opportunity to quickly create procedures facilitating settlement of creative entrepreneurs and artists in the area.

All afternoon on Thursday, 1 July, in Księży Młyn was devoted to shooting a film whose aim is to promote the Łódź candidacy for the title of the European Capital of Culture 2016. We will watch the final result, an animated film, already on 6 July!

3 days with the “Republic of Culture”

The "Fenomen" foundation and "Nud-No" association, in cooperation with Łódź Art Center, an institution involved in Łódź European Capital of Culture 2016 endeavour, prepared an action that promoted the candidacy of Łódź during "Święto Łodzi" (Łódź Days). All the events were carried out under the banner of the "Republic of Culture".

The map is filled with points. The points mark up-to-date and archive pictures, facts and personal memories of Łódź citizens regarding a given location. On www.topografie.pl, you can find this unusual map where everybody may mark Łódź locations important for them and write a few words about them. Thus, a one of the kind story about the city written by its citizens will soon be created.
